Inlaid Embossing Workshop Card

One of the things I enjoy most about my Stampin' Up! business is when I get invited to do a workshop at someone's home. They are always such enjoyable times, meeting new people and spending time crafting with them and sharing what I love to do so much. Everyone who comes to a Stampin' Up! workshop gets a chance to make something to take away with them, and I always love seeing people's faces light up when they see what they have made.

Here is the make and take that everyone made at one of my workshops recently:

And here is the same card, just "glammed up" a little, using a few extra products. It's amazing how different they look!

Now, if you're at all familiar with my blog you'll know that I love this inlaid embossing technique. It's so simple to do, yet incredibly effective. And it shows another way to use the Big Shot and embossing folders, which in my book is always good news. After all, crafters spend a lot of money on buying things, so it's important to know as many ways to use them as possible, so you make sure you're getting even better value for money. I hate it when people say to me that they have a room full of crafting stuff that they never use, it seems a crying shame! My customers know that they can always call me if they have items they've run out of ideas for - part of my job is to make sure they don't just sit on the shelf, gathering dust.
If you're a crafter who is struggling to find new ideas, if you're someone who has always wanted to craft but not quite known where to start, or if you're just plain fed up with not being able to find products of the quality that you want to use, then we need to talk. You can contact me by email or phone (details are in the sidebar) or, if you're within reach of Ipswich, then come along to my Open Day and Catalogue Launch Party on 1st October. You'll find details of it here, and I'd love to see you there.

Back soon, and thanks again for dropping in.

Fast and Fabulous Thank You Card!

Well, I honestly wondered when I was going to get a moment to blog again, I've been so BUSY lately! The run-up to the launch of the new Idea Book and Catalogue on 1st October is always a bit frantic, with so much to look forward to and to prepare for and, what with one thing and another I've had hardly a moment to post any pictures for you. It's so exciting! My pre-order arrived earlier today, with all my new goodies from the new catalogue, and Oh My Goodness, they are even more gorgeous in real life - you are going to LOVE THEM!

I've got so many things I want to show you, and I'd intended to post a lot more pics of things made with items on the Retired Products List, but I'm really behind with my photo-editing. Here is one, though, made with one of the hostess sets that will go at the end of September.

"Fast and Fabulous" is a gorgeous set, and uses my beloved two-step stampin' technique. The paper used is the luscious Sweet & Sour Speciality Designer Paper, and I'm really going to miss it, 'cause it's so smack-you-between-the-eyes-bright, and most of the sheets have really glossy embossed highlights. If you want the stamp set, then you need to call me to book a workshop double-quick, because it's only available for workshops that take place before 1st October. The paper will be retiring then too, so let me know if you want to order it, before it's all gone.

Right, I'm off to play with my new goodies (can't resist it any longer!). Pop back tomorrow and I'll put up details of the launch party that I'll be holding to celebrate the launch of the new Idea Book and Catalogue. I've been planning it for ages and, now that my pre-order has arrived, I can start making samples for it. I can't wait!

Thanks for dropping by, and I'll be back soon.

Hugs,

Revised Retired List

Things are selling out fast, from this year's Retired List, so do make sure you get your orders in quickly if there is anything you MUST have, before it goes. Click here to be taken to the current list, which is correct at the time of posting. I've updated the link in the sidebar too, if that's easier.

Alan is back at work today, after a week off for his birthday. I've got a hectic couple of days catching up with all the things that have been sitting there waiting for me, but I'll be back as soon as I can be with something pretty for you to look at. Thanks for dropping by.

Hugs,

It's Time To Say Goodbye.... But The Countdown Begins

Oh my goodness, it's September already, and you know what that means! There's only one month to go until the launch of the new Stampin' Up! Idea Book and Catalogue and I'm SOOOOOOOO excited!!!!

But in order to make room for all the fantastic new products, we have to say goodbye to some old friends, so today sees the release of the Retired List - your chance to stock up on those products which will be retiring at the end of September. I will be so sad to see these go, and I know you will too, but the Retired List always brings some amazing discounts. This year is no exception, so click here to go to the Retired List and start putting your order together.

A word of warning - items on the Retired List are only available while stocks last, so I can't guarantee that your favourites will be here right up until the end of September. If you want it, you need to order it QUICKLY, or you might miss out.

Those of you with keen eyes will notice that there is nothing from the current Mini-Catalogue on the Retired List. That doesn't mean that everything will definitely stay around - everything that doesn't make it into the big new Idea Book and Catalogue will go at the end of the month so, again, if you want it, make sure you order it now or it may be gone.

Keep your eyes peeled on this blog and on my Facebook page for details of the fantastic launch party I'm going to be hosting on 1st October, to celebrate the release on that day of the 2011-2012 Idea Book and Catalogue.I've got all sorts of treats in store for you, so make sure you put the date in your diary so you don't miss out!

Right - I'm off to have a browse through my preview copy of the new IBC. Jealous? Well, if you fancy getting advance peeks at Stampin' Up!'s new products before anyone else does, then you NEED to be a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator, 'cause this is one of the many perks. Click here for more details about how to join my team, or simply email me or call me for a chat.

Back soon - thanks for popping in!
